Marcellvs L. works with video and sound and has exhibited internationally since the 2000s. He has participated in several group shows and Biennials such as the 16th Bienal de Sydney (2008), 9th Bienal de Lyon (2007) and 27th Bienal de São Paulo (2006). He has exhibited at the Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo (2013), Living Art Museum, Reykjavik (2011), Museu Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid (2008), ZKM - Museum of Contemporary Art, Karlsruhe (2008), and at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (2007), among others.
Of the numerous awards he has received, the following stand out: Arbeitsstipendium für Bildende Kunst 2011, Berliner Senats, Berlin (2011), Stipendium Akademie der Künste 2009, Akademie der Künste, Berlin (2009), ars viva prize 07/08 Sound, BDI, Germany (2007), Nam June Paik Award 2006 (nominated), Cologne (2006), and the Main Prize at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, Germany (2005).
