Assim como Acorde, Cuento Corto e Septiembre, Relief é um dos trabalhos de Jorge Macchi criado com corda de piano durante a pandemia de 2020. Quando a quarentena de sete meses teve inicio em Buenos Aires, o artista levou um piano elétrico que ficava em estúdio para casa. Nesse período, muitos dos seus trabalhos foram influenciados por esse instrumento. Em Relief, Macchi brinca com duas noções da palavra 'Relief': a de a própria obra ser um relevo e a de que a escala que o trabalho traz é 1:1. Ou seja, um alivio não se precisar fazer conversões para entender a dimensão exata dela. When the seven-month quarantine began in Buenos Aires, the artist took an electric piano that was in the studio home. During this period, many of his works were influenced by this instrument. In Relief, Macchi plays with two notions of the word 'Relief': that of the work itself is a relief and that the scale that the work brings is 1:1. In other words, it's a relief not to need to make conversions to understand the exact dimension of it.
